Durex forced to deny existence of 'pumpkin spice' condoms after image goes viral

The denial came after an image of the supposed condom went viral over the weekend.

OVER THE WEEKEND, an image purporting to show a new pumpkin spice-flavoured condom went viral on the internet.

The image was, of course, a hoax and a play on the pumpkin spice latte hysteria that is beginning to set in, but that didn’t stop people believing it was real.

As rumours of a pumpkin spice condom began to gain traction, condom manufacturer Durex was forced to deny the existence of the autumnal contraceptive.

It did so with this decidedly cheeky tweet.

And with that tweet, Durex left a trail of broken dreams in its wake.
